Mechanic is charging 2.5 hrs labor @ $70/hr to change the alternator. I was wondering if it is easy then I should try changing on my own.|||If you plan on doing any maintenance to your car and are not necessarily sure how i recommend you get a haynes car repair manual. you can probably find one at your library, though if you plan on future repairs you should probably just buy one.|||it is not that easy but like the guy above says.... buy the repair manual and get the correct tools
