Still having alternator problems?
you need to find out if your alt. is charging your battery. then you need to find out if your battery can hold a charge. autozone does this for free
Still having alternator problems?
It happen to me check all the ground wires. One has rust or corrosion on it.
Start off by checking your alternator output. Put a voltmeter across the battery, with engine running at 2000rpm and headlights on, should read 13.8 - 14.2 volts. If you don't get this reading you have a charging problem. You didn't say that the alternator and battery you fitted were new? If the battery is not new, get someone to %26quot;droptest%26quot; your battery, bad readings....replace battery. If these check out okay, you may have something switched on that is draining the battery. Check boot light, glove box etc. Alternators can also have faults that drain the battery, put an amp-meter in series with the earth lead. With all turned off, you should get no reading.
